STONE SCULPTING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT 

BASIC HAND TOOLS                          Mallet or Club Hammer – Used to    strike  chisels and remove stone.

Point Chisel – Removes large amounts of stone and roughs out the initial shape.

Tooth (Claw) Chisel – Refines the rough shape and removes marks left by the point chisel.

Flat Chisel – Smooths surfaces and creates clean edges and fine details.

Pitching Tool – Splits and trims the edges of stone.

Shaping Tools
Rasps and Rifflers – Used to refine curves, contours, and intricate details.

Diamond Files – Ideal for shaping and detailing hard stones.

POLISHING SUPPLIES 
Waterproof Sandpaper: 80, 120, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, and 2000 grit.

Water – Used during wet sanding to reduce dust and achieve a smoother finish.

Stone Wax or Polish (Optional) – Applied to enhance the stone's natural color and provide a protective finish.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT 

Safety glasses or face shield.
Dust respirator.
Protective gloves.
Steel-toe boots.
